Although I have been drawing and painting all my life, I started my work-life at big consulting firms, as civil- en environmental- engineer. However, as years past by, I had a growing sense that I wanted to do something different, something more creative!

Eight years ago I started taking lessons at an art acadamy, Gooise Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten, in Laren and I was hooked! I had finally found my true passion, fine art! This started off my journey as a fine artist.

I enjoy painting just about everything, landscapes, portraits, figurative, animals, still life, illustrative. Lately, I have been experimenting to develop a better focus and a distinctive 'signature style'. These days I have been exploring techniques for sketching and painting urban areas; buildings, cafes, vehicles, and particularly rainy, atmospheric urban scenes often known as 'cityscapes'. May be I am making a full circle back to my civil engineering days!

My life - I have been living in the Netherlands for 23 years with my Dutch family. I was living in San Francisco when I met my Dutch husband. I was born and brought up in Mumbai in India and then moved to the US, where I lived for many years, in Florida, Seattle and San Francisco. After moving to Amsterdam and then to 2 other towns, I have finally landed in Blaricum. I have moved around quite a bit and it's been a joyful, eventful journey!
